Before the injury the rounds were evenly shared and Bellew took Haye's best shots. So how does that add up to Bellew getting battered in those final 7 rounds if Haye hadn't got injured. Bellew's chance was to go long and take Haye down as he tired, which is exactly what happened.

Not sure that Bellow took "Haye's best shots" - yes he got caught and took them well but generally his timing was off so perhaps the power was lacking.

As for getting tired, it was Bellew who appeared to be feeling the strain as he was open-mouthed at times and looked more tired than Haye ! Felt that Haye was starting to find his rhythm before he got injured and at that point I really thought it was only a matter of time before he got to Bellew.

Bellew might have felt his best chance was to take it into the later rounds but I'm not sure that he would have even won on points if it had gone the distance.

Credit to Haye who fought like a warrior after his injury and for being so gracious in defeat.I look forward to a re-match.

I think Bellew looked knackered before the leg went. I was thinking yeah he is doing well it's a decent contest and he is taking some heavy hits but Haye wasn't looking as tired as Tony was the fact is we will never know but to me it looked as if Haye had more in the tank. Bellew's punches for 5 rounds without reply were not enough for me. He fought wisely but I 100% believe if his ankle had gone Haye would have knocked him out in the next round.

Nah, I think you and Willo have it wrong. When the bell went for the 6th, it said This is furthest Haye has been since 2011. Haye's tactics were to get a quick stoppage, he thought fighting a cruiserweight he would come in big at 16 stone and overpower him. It didn't work and it would have made it harder for him in the later rounds. Bellew should be given more credit for getting the tactics spot on - get it to the later rounds and Haye's injuries and big weight will count against him

SKY is turning into a shopping channel for Boxing.
When they are not trying desperately trying to create a market for women's sport, they are trying to flog a fight.
David Haye is already been o in crutches telling us how he want's a rematch with Bellew and we have already started the Joshua Klitchko hype. Next up, Tyson Fury. He ducked a rematch with Klitchko so he can come back and make even more money from the gullible public.
