That does make a difference...certainly in comparison to say a League Cup.

But as a selfish fan, I want to watch my team play the best every week in the highest profile matches.

I think my view is tainted slightly by the number of clubs that have dropped out and cant get back up (Coventry, Sheff Utd, Fulham, Pompey etc).

If it was still 1990 I would take a title and relegation and fancy our chances of getting back up quickly. But today, that seems so much harder and I wouldn't want to risk one season of glory for 25 of obscurity.

Ah, but the question was about winning The Premier League. Being The Champions. You would say 'no' to that?

I'd take the PL and then the relegation any day. If you have champions league money the next season even if you go down you are going straight back up as Leicester will if they do!

I have felt a relegation before and I will feel it again at some point and I still love and live for palace. I have never felt the joy of a major win of a trophy or a league in my life. Easy decision

For a title winning season I would take two relegations, selling my soul to Satan and I'll throw in the Mrs .
She will leave me anyway after I have spent all our savings watching Palace in Europe .

And we still need a striker

It would be a painful season getting relegated with everyone taking the mick, but I would not pass up a prem championship just imagine the scalps we would be taking and that forever history. We would bounce back as we have before and may need to fairly soon.

What a miserable answer.

Id take 4 relegations if it meant we won something.. even just the league or fa cup!

The infrastructure you talk of can be sold or burnt down but a cup will never be taken away from us.

Personally would never take a cup followed by relegation. Premier league title and relegation in a heartbeat.

whatever happens in the future to Leicester City they will always be able to say they won the PL and played in the Champions League. That will make them one of only a handful of clubs who will be able to say that! What would Palace have to brag about - we survived for x number of seasons in the PL - but won nothing ?

Neither. We need to become an established team, in the top division, if we're to have the slightest chance of bringing our infrastructure into the 21st century. Another three seasons wouldn't do it.

I go to watch Palace win - not for the infrastructure

I'd take the title followed by relegation. But then I'm a fan, not a businessman.

Well said. F**k the "infrastructure".

I'd happily watch us play non league for the rest of my life if it meant one season like Leicesters last year.

I'd take relegation after a PL championship. This is because the best league in the world is the league that Palace play in. The PL is not the Holy Grail.
