Like a lot of the squad Dann is suffering a lack of confidence at the moment, and it would be madness to tamper with the defence that played against Middlesbrough.

It's the difference between having 2 center backs that are playing without confidence - when you have a partner next to you that's confident and relaxed, that filters into you - Sakho was excellent and that brought Tomkins level up. We've not seen the best from him yet I'm sure and agree it would be crazy to change it unless he is planning on a different system.

Well as I said earlier keep the winning team together.
Which we did after Bournemouth.
West Brom will be more daunting than Boro.
So its over to Sam.

I think SA will want to play with more height at the back against WBA. He may well go for 3 CB's and include Dann to try and nullify their prowess in the air(as flightsequence has already pointed out)

This also gives us an attacking advantage as well! This could be an afternoon of crosses and aerial dueling!

Three CBs is fine if

a) It makes your defence stronger than having two
b) The wing backs get forward and create something.

Taking van Aanholt out of what I am about to say, as I think he's been decent since he joined...I have one word:

SUNDERLAND.

I agree with Ferret. Although playing Tomkins at right back would probably restrict our attacking options on that side, I think it would add more solidity at the back as JW has been struggling this season. So for me it would be
TOMKINS - DANN - SAKHO - PVA
LUKA
ZAHA - MAC - CABAYE - SCHLUPP
BENTEKE
Im not a great lover of Townsend but I did think his performance has been better the last couple of games so happy to see him start instead of Schlupp.

Going against West Brom we'll have to deal with their physical approach and threat from set pieces. I think this is closer to the team we'll play, Dann probably has to play, whether it be in a back 4 or 3. I slightly suspect we'll go with 3 at the back. Benteke will get no joy out of WBA's defenders so we may need to go with 2 up front too.

He is probably a better defender than Tomkins but he is worse on the ball. The reason we looked so good on the weekend was the passing out from the back. No more Dann and Damo shanks up field.

Keep the back four the same

Really? I think Tomkins has been poor in possession, he was better on Saturday than usual (I think Milivojevic was an influencing factor) but generally Dann is superior on the ball. Dann has a great first touch and cross-field pass, his lofted passes upfield aren't as good possibly. Both Tomkins and Ward seem to have their passing angles cut off because they take too long passing it. I think Dann might come back better than he has been of late if he just lets Sakho do most of the leading.

I think all our defenders will play better with Luka in front of them, it gives a little less to worry about. All they need to do now is defend and not worry about the hole that used to be in front of them.

I stopped counting the amount of free kicks he has given away just outside the box where the opposition have then scored , so probably not start until he is right up to speed & fitness.

Unfair. The whole team was beyond poor. The guy just scored the winner in a 6 pointer. Christ, Why look back to games like that? BE POSITIVE AND LOOK FORWARD!

Yannick Bolasie - Glenn Murray - Wilfried Zaha

Most exciting attacking trio at Selhurst Park in years.

Personallly I would stick with Sakho and Tomkins.
We kept a 'Clean sheet' and won so we should keep the back four intact.
