Mandanda wasn't a fans favourite those was he , he played a few games and had his name shouted and people joined in because it was funny , he then got injured, he then left. Speroni is a fans favourite , mandanda never was.

There you Speroni unfortunately on the decline. I just feel the potential signing of Adrian is underwhelming. Just my opinion, maybe I expected better.

Funny how last three managers chose Hennessey without exception. If we are going to upgrade; then upgrade!

The only favourites I have are Zaha and Cabaye both of whom are excellent players and we are lucky to have them.
As for Hennessey I will continue to defend him from the likes of you and others who blame him for every goal we concede.

That is not a figment of the imagination. There are people who blame Hennessey for every goal whereas they would excuse Speroni for every goal. It's ridiculous.

Hennessey's problem (not his own) is that he replaced a legend in Speroni who had been in goal so long that a lot of people on here had probably not seen anyone else in goal for us. For that he is resented by many. SM didn't have that problem as he was replacing WH, and presumably neither would Adrian. The fact is that WH is an average PL keeper who will make some good saves and some occasional errors too - but name a keeper who never makes a mistake. If we are to replace WH, then it needs to be with an exceptional keeper, not someone like Adrian who wasn't even first choice at W Ham for some of last season. For me there are more important positions to fill first - like another striker and a decent RB. We have two OK keepers - if 1 was to get injured we could always get an emergency loan.
