You really are a joke. I'm not related to WH as you keep pathetically alleging, just as I imagine you are not related to Speroni. I don't dislike Speroni - I just think he is not good enough any more. The last time I saw him - in the friendly defeat at Fulham last year - he was very poor. Their first goal was a one-on-one in which he made no effort to get the ball; for the second he dropped the ball from a weak cross for a tap-in. Many times on here last season I said that we should get rid of all 3 keepers and start again. WH is not great, but he is a better option than Speroni. The only reason Speroni keeps getting a new contract is as a reward for many years of great service to the club and because Parish seems to like having old players around the club.

If you really think that WH is only in goal because he is tall then you are more deluded that I thought. Similarly, if you think we are bottom due to a lack of clean sheets. We have actually let in the same number of goals in five games as Arsenal and Liverpool. The problem is at the other end. And if you want to talk about clean sheets then your favourite Speroni hasn't kept a clean sheet in any of his last 14 PL appearances.

Secondly if you remember managers of late Do like the taller goalkeeper as Pulis does and if I am right in saying he did mention that in one of his pre match comments.
Thirdly we re not talking about Arsenal or Liverpool we are discussing Crystal Place and I stand by what I said IFHennessey had kept clean sheets instead of flapping about like a wet blanket and dived a bit more plus kept his eye on the ball much more and stopped relying on the defenders to get him out of the sh1t and did his job at STOPPING the ball going past him then he WOULD keep more clean sheets. The problem is he does not like contact in case he gets hurt (unlike Jules who got knocked out doing it) and he does not command his area. I am not alone on these boards in thinking these things!

Think you'll find that Pullis, Warnock and Millen all preferred Speroni. It was that absolute cock womble Pardew who showed he had no clue on how to run a football team, that dropped Speroni for Wayne. This then lead onto Speroni's match fitness to eroding, making it very hard for him to be ready to step into the fray at 38. Now is the time though! Enough is enough. Step up captain Speroni.
