Very true but the stats I gave a couple of weeks ago from the official PL site showed very little between Speroni and Hennessey in terms of their PL games for us. Of course you then denied those were relevant as Speroni had played some of his in 2004/5 as that then suited your argument!

Re Mandanda, I'm sorry but he was a poor keeper who fans liked because they could do the stupid chant of his name. He let in several weak goals (eg Bournemouth and Sunderland), stayed on his line for corners (eg the 2 Liverpool goals) and his distribution was rushed, causing problems for defenders who weren't ready which in turn led to the opposition scoring (again Sunderland). You just liked him because he wasn't your arch-enemy.

Speroni was doing just fine before he got injured and replaced by Wayne. I won’t blindly support something/someone that is doing so much damage to my club no. That is an idiotic thing to do. Like standing idily by and watching someone slowly killing someone you love. It won’t be a coincidence when we have an upturn in fortune once he is away from the first team for a sustained period, no matter how some will claim it to be a coincidence. Wayne has been a large part of a very foolish strategy employed by Pardew to remove all of the old guard and fan favourites. The battlers that have got us into this privileged position in the first place. And a complete and utter distaster it has been pretty much ever since he has tried to do so. I’m not saying that the lads that got us up could have gone on forever, but a better strategy to remove them from the first team in a more pragmatic manner and replacing them with a better standard of player to suit our style would have stood us in good stead.
Wayne’s career with us has gone pretty much the route that I said it would, and all I’ve done is be honest about that from the start. Yet I’m somehow painted as a villain by a few odd folk on here. The fact that I’ve consistently proved many wrong on here with good debate and argument has ruffled many a feather with the folk on the other side. And the longer the debate has raged on, the clearer my argument has become. They’re now blaming me for what they see as a downturn in Wayne’s performances which is frankly hilarious. When all I’ve done is be consistent in my point of view. A brief look on here and over on th BBS will show you that there is a large percentage of people who feel the same way as me.
I won’t crow on once the inevitable happens and Wayne is moved on. I will be humble and leave it but I expect the people that have been warring with me to be grown up about it and leave it in the past As well. I think that is as fair as it gets.
