Delle Alli, Gareth Bale, Aaron Ramsey and the others you mentioned plus many more get away with it because they are darlings of the media. Bale in particular did it repeatedly.

Thing is, we've all seen Wilf dive in the past. 2 that spring to mind are when we pumped Newcastle 5-1 and the other in the Bournemouth game at Selhurst last season. The latter was out of pure frustration as he was being kicked silly all game with little help from the ref although in end he was lucky not to get a second yellow. Not often compared to the amount of times he's been genuinely fouled but mud sticks unfortunately.

Some referees need him to be virtually assaulted before giving a free kick but he also needs to learn to shut his mouth and accept he's not going to get every decision. Ronaldo and Giggs are good examples of this - they've been kicked their whole career but have learnt to deal with it and rarely get booked for decent (easier playing for a bigger club I know).

I thought he should have had a penalty in the first half vs Middlesbrough, there was an incident in the second I'd need to see again. McArthur should have had a penalty. End of.

Exactly, I've already been corrected and admitted my faults, don't rub it in CambridgeEagle, it's like my school PE teacher all over again!

In my opinion Referees are doing a job which is WAY over their competency. In fairness to them, the system is sh*t and they get little back up after matches are over.

For that reason I am convinced that most make decisions based mostly on guess work, allowing biases to play too much of a role.

For instance I think Zaha, because the public and media have seen him getting worked up and petulant, it is now commonly acceptable to think he could dive during a match. Therefore if the referee is in doubt they will consider their (inaccurate) track record for the player and award a foul against him. That is genuinely what I believe is happening.

Not a specific vendetta against him but rather a case of blatant typecasting based on public opinion.

I have so much more to vent about this situation with referees but I won't go into it now.

Zaha doesn't go down any easier than any other player in football. They all dive all over the pitch to get out of trouble or win dangerous free kicks, yet some get singled out, Zaha and Sterling spring to mind.
Poll like all refs, current and former always claim refs don't take reputation into account, in fact Poll is always adamant. I didn't hear this, but if he said that then he is actually admitting that refs cheat. Quite a u-turn.
Wilf stays up under very heavy pressure time and again, yet still those useless pricks give him nothing. Time for his teammates to start defending him and us to follow other teams examples and surround the incompetent pricks at every opportunity.
