Who leaves in the summer?

depends on what happens between now and season end.

IF and its a big if, we go on a run and start battering teams left right and centre, a lot of the earlier misery will go and players will begin to see a better future and may just stay, being sold on the 'next season' chances.

If we go down or only just escape, I can see an exodus of our 'quality' players and only hope we dont keep hold of the dross as well.

A lot of the 'dross' will be out of contract anyway and I can't see too many of them being offered new deals.

Possibly Zaha, Benteke and Townsend.

Assuming we stay in the PL I think that's pretty much spot on.

There is a chance that one of Hennessey or Mandanda stay with jules finally going. I would imagine a new keeper is needed either way.

Whoever goes, we need to make sure we have suitable replacements and in the case of most of those listed we need upgrades.

I see Johnny Williams is fit again after being out injured for 3 months.If he has a good end of season,think it's time to let him go,let him build a career at Ipswich.

Why get rid of Ward? That would leave us needing two right backs.

Damo should be kept as a squad player, we will still need another CB after Sakho goes back

Puncheon, again, not saying we shouldn't get better in but what a great player to have on the bench.

Current first teamers should be upgraded gradually but that doesn't mean getting rid of them. It's the Fryers, Lee & Mutch's of the world that need to go.

Mandanda - shame as I think he could have been fantastic - £3.5M
Mutch - £1.5M
Flamini - Nil
Sako - £5M
Campbell - Nil
Wilfi - £40M

That's six out I recon. And a total £50M to add to the war chest.

On a side note I think it's crazy seeing people listing Puncheon and Damo as players that should be sold... so there not first team players but are still good squad players until we've bought other players in. Few weeks back Damo was our best CB, and what has Puncheon or Ward done wrong to be shipped out, let's not sell our old first team down the river until we have A. Better players and B. Better cover.


As for Wilf how about we sell him to de Germans for £30m and they throw in the young winger they signed who's sat on the bench.


Then when he gets home sick he can come back to us again....
