the mad thing is , i can look my arsenal friends in the eye and laugh at them. They will never feel sympathy or sorrow for me. Even palace in a relegation struggle ( or in the championship ) is less embarrassing than that big quiet stadium with the same mediocre script every season.

I`ll take mediocre in the European cup every season

interviewer " iggy , do you think you influenced anybody?"

If he wants to stay in football, which he has indicated, then he needs a change as do Arsenal.

I was hoping that England would have delayed a decision on the new manager until the end of the season to see if Wenger would become available. Sadly not. Though I would kick out Southgate in an instant if he did want to do the job.

That being said, apparently PSG have always courted him. Imagine PSG putting Arsenal out of the CL next season with Wenger in charge.

Otherwise, I would gladly see him down Selhurst instead of giant marshmellow man.

A truly great manager and one of the greatest legacies of the PL.

Sticks to his style and is the polar opposite of Mourinho in many ways. (Who is also a great manager)

An example I often use is how Jose used to drop Azpiliqueta in favour of Ivanovic when playing teams with a bigger striker. Arsene would pick his team and they would play the same way regardless of the opposition. Doesn't always work but you can't doubt his commitment to his philosophy or the beauty of the style when it comes off.

His team have played the best football for the last 20 years and he has consistently overachieved without the same resources as his competitors.

Always has embraced advances in science and technology in football and Arsenals loss will be one lucky teams gain.

I totally agree with the general thrust of your post.

Well there's never a dull moment watching Arsenal but sometimes their slow, patient play is a little tedious and more and more teams these days have found a way of getting results allowing the opposition to have all the possession. I've seen Burnley, Swansea and lots of teams do it.

Since the new era of possession football has emerged now teams have found a way to counter that by defending clever and countering effectively.

Anyone else finding the current situation at Arsenal laughable? It's been brilliant watching the Gooners turn on each other, and I can only hope Wenger remains into next season so the entertainment can continue. Arsenal FanTV would go mental...

Both them and spurs are joke clubs.

We know our place. A rare cup final appearance and survival are what we're about.

They think they're real contenders but in reality the cups are their only hope. Even then when was the last time spurs made the final?!

Arsenal just plod on with a top 4 finish and a routine and frankly predictable plucky losers champions league effort (not even that this time).

They are both also rans, but they really have this belief that they're competing.

It just seems now that Wenger's days are coming to an end.
I will be surprised if he is still at Arsenal next season.

I like Arsenal and I also like Wenger. It's a shame for me that this isn't a different manager and a different club.

I find it laughable when people call arsenal a joke club. Every year they are among the elite while spending less than those above them. Every year they challenge for a cup and have won a few. Every year they make it through their CL group and they still play the best football in the PL in my opinion. I find them far more tolerable than any of the other big teams and it's only their harmless fans that annoy me.
