the problem comes when Sky et al approach the ISP's and force them to monitor/name/shut off the people that view the streams.

watching a stream in the EU is not illegal, downloading games is, as is making streams available to others. its a bit of a grey area but the link to the court ruling is below someone with a greater legal mind than me may be able to clarify it.

Afraid you are incorrect Carrick. Sit your TVs side by side and compare the BT Sports and Sky pictures. Satellite capacity limits the throughput rate - 80s technology, not suitable for full 1080. Sky's picture not a patch on BT - oh and one other thing. Tokyo Olympics being broadcast in 8K, what will you call that Ultra Ultra HD? Gets even sillier when you move to 16K and beyond. You can watch on your 2 x infinity connection.

Premier League have apparently obtained an injunction to block streams.
I have prepared one of my own time capsules. I have placed some rather large samples of dynamite, gunpowder and nitroglycerin. My time capsule is set to go off in the year 3000. It will show them what we are really like. |

It's about time they got into the 21st century and allowed the U.K to stream the games for a fee. You can legally watch any premier league game anywhere in the world except in the U.K. I really don't think it will affect gate receipts anymore as they seemed to believe a few years back. Every time you stream something it downloads data so it's downloading. Streaming/downloading is not a crime no matter what you hear it's a civil matter which is about rights to the content but typical muscle power and being friends with government make up extra charges which is why you will always see not just downloader but things added like involved in organised crime which brings the police into it. How this can come into effect just shows again how corupt the whole system is. More censorship of the internet is all that will happen so in UK the ISP will just block more sites so it gets to the point you can only see what they want you to see so just use vpn

on the dark web you can already get access to quality streams for bitcoins but you need to know the places which is difficult for standard people

The website that I use, StreamTVBox, who charge a relatively small amount were adamant that there was no way that Sky, Google, Microsoft or anyone else would be able to stop streaming. I don't even use Kodi as I am prepared to pay the price of a Cappuccino a week for a pretty good service - mainly for Palace away games but also golf, tennis and all sorts of stuff available on scores of international TV channels..
