If the bank statement wasn't in a envelope and she read it, would that make any difference?

I am willing to admit I may be in the minority about this, and maybe I'm being uptight... but I think reading someone's private mail is a horrible thing to do... regardless if it is in a envelope or not. I wouldn't read anyone's mail... even if I were in a long-term relationship.

If it was just open on the table in full view then I can understand one taking a momentary 'Peek', but to remove documents from an envelope is reprehensible. I don't even open letters that come through the post addressed to my wife and we have been married for nearly 31 years.

Never! I'd never read anyone else's mobile, whoever they were.

Exactly, first of all it was just left on the table and now it was in an envelope.

I'll admit it was opened, but it was still in the envelope. If I'm honest...I don't think that makes any difference. To pick up and read someone else's mail seems reprehensible to me... regardless if it was in a opened envelope or not. I'm willing to accept i'm in a minority.

I once changed my contact name on a friends phone to Dr Love and then later sent her a text thanking her for a steamy night. But I'm guessing that's not the same thing

You said no judgement.. if we had been out on a few dates and I had reason to be suspicious about them for some reason then yes I would. Be s*** scared they would catch me though... boo and jeer away I can handle it
