I suppose it's all down to definitions as per usual.

Paisley formed 'the third force' to fight the IRA. He claimed to have 15,000 armed members - whatever happened to it can't remember but it was under direct rule so ruled out in some way.

Erm,just a small point to that glowing tribute you put to the ira....they were the biggest gangsters in NI,and to a certain extent still are,the one who has just died...(good riddance),has a son who is heavily involved in drugs.
