I can't see this happening, his wage demands would be crazy high.

I'd rather have Gylfi Sigurdsson anyway, which is far more achievable.

This is nonsense. Rooney has not turned to s**t.
The effort he puts in every game alone makes him one of the league's good players. Not counting the many assists he provides. Football is not all about goals you know. I'm sure you'll say that Muller has turned to s**t too cause he's not scoring goals.
Nobody looks at the assists, the recovered balls, the pressing...
Rooney may not be what he was some years ago, but he's still very good for the EPL. Maybe not title winning material, but still very good
