I can understand why the bang would be off putting, but I was watching online and the Palace fans cheer the bangs, and the red smoke goes up. Surely anyone with a brain can work out what is going on ? Pretty naive Chelsea fans if you ask me. I think what really put them off were the clicking of all those tourist cameras, taking pictures of us real fans!

Who gives a **** what they think? It's done, a result & nothing can change that. Just back from my local & a Chelski mate (just back from the game) said the ref was a **** & the linesman was a blind ****. That aside, he admitted they just "didn't have enough' to beat us despite the stats.

Um. Haven't we had flares thrown our pitch at least twice this season. That must be why we went through such a bad patch of form !!

It made a couple of people around me jump and some older ladies were a bit startled for a few seconds after the bang. I think everything in context though. If we were 3-0 down and silent then you're doing it to be a thug and catch people off guard into thinking a bomb went off. Because it was after 2 away goals at the league leaders even the sweet old dears that were genuinely scared started singing and dancing. That's all in the away end as well. Absolutely no chance of upsetting the Chelsea lot blocks away. That said they shouldn't and aren't allowed and woulda been a shame if someone had a heart attack or severe adverse affect but they didn't and we beat Chelsea away. Let's just brush this under the carpet please! Knowing our luck we'll be the first team in history to be docked points for flares.
