I have been taking my son to away games since he was 7 (he is now 20). He used to stand on the seat when everybody else was standing up and it was fine. Fellow fans were always very nice and used to move out of the way so he could see when possible. He always loved it as we always seem to make more noise way from home.

I sometimes wonder if you are old enough to be on these boards...NO ONE is wetting themselves over the flares and YES there was damage done to the toilets and seats by OUR fans which in turn will bring bad publicity to our club. Steve Parish is going the love the fine that the club will get let alone the media coverage and the FA putting there oar in on top.
Supported Palace for over 69 years since the age of 7 and have seen all the ups and downs and will probably see many more ups and downs before I go up to the big football club in the sky. |

You say you're not wetting your pants then go on a mad RANT using CAPITALS which only reinforces my point that you are getting things way out of proportion and may need a lie-down in a darkened room for a bit until you regain your composure. Why don't we just wait and see what, if any, fine the club gets, or bad publicity, or damage to the club, or FA sanctions, or whatever, before we have a aneurysm, shall we? In the meantime let's all stay sane and calm and not let a few flares ruin what was one of the best results we've seen in a very long time.

We let some flares off and jonathan Pearce goes on about it on MOTD saying the FA may have to take action etc against the club. COYP

I think you are the one that needs to crawl back into your darkened room as you just do not see how damaging this is to the club and of course the cost and bad publicity that will more than likely happen once the FA stick their oar in.

Flares I can understand the concern, but smoke bombs I don't see the issue. But yes, let's use misinformation and fear mongering, rather than having an actual discussion using facts.
