Isn't Youtube a US company? If so I'd imagine that would violate the Freedom of Religion in the constitution - Atheism is technically religious, in that it exists only as a refutation of religion.

What?
Questioning the existence of or refusing to blindly worship a mythical being is not a religion. It is upholding reason over ignorance and irrationality.
If there is one subject that makes me want to march on the street this is it.
It is imperative that the non religious are able to condemn and criticise religion and make reasonable argument against it all the codswallop it teaches.

The non religious should not have to be classified in some way to speak freely. Religion should never have a 'divine' right to be unchallenged and nor should it's followers.

US corporations, and government, are very effectively bullied by pressure groups, with what is essentially economic terrorism.

Yep, money whores with no backbones dancing to the tune of whatever the activist favour of the month is.

Kind of, as atheism cannot exist without religious belief (and may be in some cases the product of belief). Technically, atheism is also a belief, as one cannot disprove the non-existence of something blah blah blah

Atheists are still capable of being illegal and irrational, just as someone who is religious can be logical and rational (Kant held religious beliefs).

Of course I think its all a load of bollocks made up by people to explain phenomena of existence that they were incapable or unwilling to explain (and then utilised as a means of social control and manipulation by Religious organisations for socio-political power).

Well money is the true god at the heart of the American Dream.

Seems a bit like Russian Roulette to me. Best not believe in any of them and then at least you won't have incurred any wrath for picking the wrong one.

It does seem rather curious how often those organisations embrace that whole Old Testament stuff. Hedge your bets with Buddhism, as the Buddha is recognised as a saint in Christian faiths and a prophet among many sects of Islam and Judaism.

Even among many protestant Christian groups, the Buddha is seen as a holy figure, such as a prophet, or incarnation of god to some extent.

So that's your safe bet. Of course it could mean your coming back as a worm.

Believing that the Earth is not flat is not a religion.
Having the capacity to be irrational does not make you on an equal footing with a religious person. That is just human frailty that everyone shares. It does not mean that you have to show reverence or respect for religion beyond simple politeness.

Sometimes the ways of "Lord" are misterious!... Beeing agnostic is considered as some kind of radicalism??? Someday we all wake up in a Kafka way... About 2000 years ago someone said: "Father forgive them! They don't know what are doing..."
By the way dogmatism isn't a form of radicalism???

Since the recent controversy where advertisers pulled their support from videos flagged by activists as 'extreme'. The word 'atheist' or 'atheism' are now banned from use as new video titles.

The 'progressive'left and their activists with their brow beating of corporations and institutions to support censorship to protect 'feelings' is f-ucking up free society.

I'm not sure it was the progressive left? It was the Sunday Times that exposed the practise of advertisers being placed alongside extremist material! The ST is barely the champion of the Left.

But it is ridiculous that the words atheism and atheist would be banned from titles.

Or to put it more succinctly, Ricky Gervais (who is basically a bell end but has a good grasp of atheism) said something along the lines of "since the dawn of time there have been 2870 potential deities recognised by religions. Religious people don't believe in 2869 of them, atheists don't believe in 2870 of them".

Ricky Gervais pisses me off. He is just as religious as a strictly catholic or Muslim person. Just as judgemental and just as self conscious. I'm not religious but you won't catch me ramming atheism down people's throats because of my own insecurity. Live and let live.
