In turn (of course) Russia has now rescinded it's agreement to not engage in hostilities with American military personnel. IMO It's a tester to see if USA will Step in to stop Putin (original nutter) invading the Balkan States, not forgetting that we now have 800 or so troops in Estonia already. But what worries me is that it is trump and Putin moving the chess pieces around, two ego's that know no limits. Still at least it will keep me in a job for a while. So every (hopefully not mushroom) cloud and all that. Do I need to sound the irony klaxon? I'm merely highlighting the facts, followed by my doubts that a proper fact-finding exercise has been conducted.

It is probable that the USA has informants within the Syrian apparatus who would confirm it on way or another. I know Trump does not come across as the most thoughtful of leaders, but he would need more to go on than assumption before launching the response attack. Is it ? Is it really. Have a read, and that was before things got really bad.

I wasn't looking to "counter" your theory, merely highlight that the timing and motive is suspect, and that (ongoing) investigations should reach conclusions before action is taken. Tiresome indeed.

The World Health Organization said victims bore the signs of exposure to nerve agents, and Amnesty International said evidence pointed to an "air-launched chemical attack." International agencies are investigating the origin of the agents used in the strike. So Unless ISIS now have bombers, Im going with Assad is a total and utter c***.

No idea, but the timescale suggests otherwise. One thing's for sure, Syrians lose. ISIS wins. I have absolutely no horse in this race, other than to state that that international community could contain and engage with Assad better than they could ISIS. Better the devil you know. All very compelling. Counter-arguments like "well Assad is a crazy nut job" are just narrative-fed bollox, to be frank. Worth noting too how important innocent lives become when they are not in either Mosul or Yemen.
