You do know it's mostly made up right? People only know of Jesus through religion. Actually mostly because of Emperor Constantine. People only know of Jesus through religion. Actually mostly because of Emperor Constantine. Without him Christianity would probably have ended up just another minority religious sect.
If the religious spent as much time learning history as they do reading the Bible they might be better informed.

Hmm Catholicism predates Protestantism (which its a reaction to), and most modern evangelism has its basis in Protestantism. Unless we're talking about some basis in the surviving gnostic faiths, or more obscure groups like the Coptic Christainity, almost all western Christianity is adoption from Catholicism, via the Protestant reformations.

It seems he was more up for modification of the message rather than starting again.
