Maybe its something we should try, the corners we have been taking have been dreadful I remember a manager, possibly Pardew, saying that the most nervous he felt visiting Old Trafford, Anfield etc was when his team had a corner. That's how I was feeling yesterday. Short corners would have been worth a try yesterday with Leicester having such big defenders but with Sakho, Tompkins and Dann putting it in the box is also a decent tactic so long as we're properly set up to defend the break.

Maybe we should have another player back when taking corners if we are getting caught on the counter. Also I thought Schlupp being the quickest in our team should have been man marking Vardy at corners, not Wardy

THIS^ It's a very shallow mind that thinks Palace fans who have criticised bad form will be feeling somehow embarrassed or unhappy when those Palace players turn their form around. FFS, do some idiots think Palace fans have Palace players they don't like and Palace players they do like? Oh, now I have to eat humble pie coz Andros is smashing every team that plays palace, Oh, I'm so unhappy about that... F-U-C-K O-F-F

Townsend arrived here to replace a real Palace favourite. However it must be remembered AT already had a good reputation and was an England International. But his form really dipped, his head went down and we the supporters got right on his case! There was the playing on the wrong wing senario, well he got his wish on that but it still didn't work for him. However apart from the occasional glimpse of what AT is really capable of we have had to wait until SA and SL got here to bring AT out of his shell (SL even giving him special attention) all of which has elevated him into a run of sparkling form. Chasing all over the pitch to harass the opposition, crunching tackles, chasing back to help out, MOM performances and assists and goals! He certainly is largely in the frame for the most improved Palace player this season perhaps along with Martin Kelly and Jason Puncheon?

There’s nothing wrong with criticising a player when he’s not performing and Townsend wasn’t performing for a long time. But those who said ‘he’s s***’ and ‘we should get rid’ were wrong.

The fact is that the whole team (except WZ who has been dynamite most of the season) has improved immensely under the influence of Pardew/Millen's substitutes (Sam x 2 + goalkeeper coach MM)...

Townsend is our modern day Vince Hillaire when he was hot he was hot the fans shouting to give him the ball but when he was cold he was sh*t and we hoped he didnt get the ball so that for me is Townsend
