Though all three of these religions are also very different. To be very reductionist Old Mo was a warlord and Jesus was basically the hippy son of a pretty severe all knowing Dad. However, for the west what it boils down to is that the fundamentalism we have to worry about is basically radical Islam...if a guy comes into your house and attacks you there is little point in musing that his brother might have also attacked you if the circumstances were different..The circumstances are the circumstances. Majority secularism is a recent development in this country and I feel it needs to push back against any encroachment of religion onto the state's remit...the separation of church(insert religious building here) and state is very important...Religious schools, for example, are not a good thing in my book. If you cannot defend your position of 'its 1% of Muslims causing the trouble, then just say so. Yeah i understand and it could apply to either side, christian or muslim... and i prefer if anything mixed faith schools as well this would increase understanding between religions and, hopefully, reduce the possibility of fundamentalism. Yep, I feel the same way.

To spread terror and fear more quickly and hence win territory more quickly. If you have military tools in your arsenal and you haven't been punished for using them in the past then to not use them makes them a useless commodity.

People from your side of the argument tried to surrender our arsenal while the soviet union was in full bloom. Even when they had plans for domination....proven by the invasions of Poland and other parts of Eastern Europe which quite rightly still have fears of Russia today.
