Sam will want someone like van Aanholt on the right side. I think ward will become squad player next year if we stay up.

i like joel ward but your right squad player

If Wilf wishes to go to the Spuds then Trippier would be a great player to get in any deal.

The people on here who said " it took him a while " should maybe go support another team
If 10 hours of matchday football is a long time then we are all in trouble
He needed to take a look
He also in the beginning let the players influence his decisions to try it their way
After Sunderland it was his way or you were out
And look whats happened since then !!!

Meaning after decades in the English football system and after being the NT's manager, he still didn't know the Palace players?

I'd have suspected that he at least knew not to use a right footed like Ward at left back and a 1,92 player like Kelly as right back.

Truth is- he's earning a big fat paycheck and came unprepared. Hopefully this is not just an understatement and he isn't just lucky with the latest wins. Cause if that's true and all his years have been of cheating and making people think he's good at something he's not, then we're in for a lot of trouble next year

Complete bollocks.

Sam had to redo the whole pre-season preparatory work from scratch in the middle of a season. His predecessor had shot to pieces the squad's fitness, mental strength and confidence. He'd also left important vacancies that required a transfer window to address.

No Allardyce team has ever been relegated and that includes some that were in a right mess - look how well Sunderland are doing without him. If there's one manager in the league who isn't a flim-flam merchant and a flake, it's him. Now Pardew on the other hand...

He's a genius, just like pullis, they do it time and time again but amazingly neither get offered the top jobs!

Another load of **** chutney.

Do you honestly think every EPL manager "knows" the players in each squad? If you do then you are clearly deluded.

Armchair managers/critics don't have the foggiest in reality - only working with them day in, day out do actual managers get to see the player's strengths, weaknesses, fitness & application. Then it's a case of getting the best out of them both individually and collectively.

You spout stuff on here about X player at £Y would be better than A, B or C with nowt but stats from other (irrelevant) leagues. If you were as astute as you claim then you'd be an EPL manager or lead scout but, and this is only a guess, you're not.

It's about time you put up or stop it - unless, of course you are a troll or Pardew in disguise.

Will this be five? It's gonna be five! It IS five!

Definite Wind Up Merchant.
I'm sure you'll get a few bites.
Bit sad though.

I wasn't too keen on his appointment as I didn't think he would really take us forward in the long term and thought that he would only be a minor improvement on Pards. So far he has proven me wrong and hopefully will continue to do so.

He has really improved a lot, the fitness (even my old man who is a Liverpool saw this against Arsenal), confidence of players, organisation and certain players have improved massively under him.

One thing I would say that he got wrong was the 3-5-2 formation. Doesn't work with our players and style for me. but in all honesty he was still trying to find something that worked for us

The other Sam needs a mention too though- Sammy Lee
