Depends on whether Corbyn can get the party to tow the line or whether they finally want to get rid of him. A general election is the only way it is ever going to happen as it stands. Corbyn's not such a moron that he'd vote with her. Vote against, saying its not the time (which it isnt), then if his mps vote against him, expel them for being backstabbing c'nts of the highest order.

Labour might present a manifesto on the EU, that appeals far more to the population than its current leader does I haven't done the maths or analysis so genuinely don't know the answer, but the 49% relates to the national population (well, the population that voted) but a general election is voted for on a constituency basis. So I don't know whether that actually dilutes or enhances that "49%" figure we're quoting.

I dont normally trust the conservatives to take care of the workers, however, i did like her speeach on her first day, saying she wanted an inclusive society, however, shes disappointed me ever since, but cant see anybody voting against her , so more of the same dumbing down for next 5 years im afraid! unless she comes good with inclusive thing that is!

How depressing, a general election that virtually no one wants. Suspect this will be one of the lowest turnouts on record.

How can that possibly be seen as economic prosperity unless you're ridiculously rich? I am still at a loss to see why anyone would vote Tory. They were elected in 2010 saying they'd bring stability. Since then we have had our most tumultuous decade since the war, with Brexit, Scottish independence probably, NI independence almost assured, and a recession round the corner as businesses f*ck off to Europe. Meanwhile the average worker's being screwed, the young have almost no opportunities and public provisions are being destroyed. I think IF there is an election, they'll come under scrutiny and the people will see the Emperor has no clothes.

Surely this paves the way for Corbyn to go. He will lose the election and a leader usually steps down after a defeat .
