Works well with the point I am making regarding gaining a larger majority. Which I still think will happen.

Disliked his foreign policy speech. Felt like he was trying to use the attacks in Manchester as a political point. Labour were the party that helped the US in their war on terror.

Yeah, of course. A larger majority is the aim though I doubt it is to negate the ultra-right in her party. 1) I don't think she is made of the right stuff to achieve that and 2) She is a politician. She want's to remain at the helm by any means 3) If she had called it in 2020 her Empress's new clothes would have had her entirely exposed by then. Brexit is going to kill a number of careers in the Government as the sh1te hits the fan...and just keeps on coming.

Imagine how Theresa May would go down in history though. Priceless.

Aren't the tories doing the same by pressuring internet regulators?

Also i think Corbyn's speech is very explicitly trying to break with blairite foreign policy.

Forget the polls, the silent majority will vote Tory, hubris and losing the plot will prevail - like it did in the EU Referendum.

Labour somehow pulling off an election win would be possibly be the funniest thing to happen in politics ever.

It would be a disaster for this country.

We must all be grateful that it's not going to happen, then.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

This is why the election was called. So she doesn't need to please the more right-wing tory MPs.

Why not call it 10 months ago when she became PM by coronation? Why wait until after article 50 and thereby waste part of the 2 year negotiating period? Why spend taxpayers money and time on a pointless legal battle over parliamentary sovereignty? She's a weak leader who has and will continue to endanger getting a good Brexit deal.

Their manifesto suggests that under the Tories the government would become the regulators of the internet. A significant extension of the snoopers charter. They would effectively be able to decide on what was and what was not allowed to be shown and said online. Big Brother and the Dear Leader.

This is the thing. All the main Tory plans for this election are premised on people believing that May is a strong and stable leader, but the polls show her approval rating at a level similar to Corbyn's which is astonishing.

If this Libyan thing finds its way in to the mainstream press i reckon it's the final nail in her coffin. Her record as Home Sec has come under very little scrutiny, but if it does, it will show her to be far from 'strong and stable'.

That's good, shut the new left babel up, should get them a few more votes.
