Really? I think the odious SNP guy does though.

Yes really. He's way out of his depth and shows it time after time by pointing his finger in a 'I can't debate' manner.

Do you call the naive nonsense that Lucas is coming out with 'debate'?

We have now sunk to a depth at which the restatement of the obvious is the first duty of intelligent men. [Orwell]

This is possibly the worst debate I have ever seen. I really hope these US-style "presidential shows" die a death. Poorly chaired, highly partisan audience, no point other than to pontificate and virtue signal.

May was wise to stay the hell away.

Wasn't the programme opened with a clear statement of how "a well known polling agency" had carefully selected the audience to be as balanced as possible?

I agree with you that May was wise to stay away - Amber Rudd is being monstered but it's not her who's the figurehead of the Tory campaign.

This isn't an audience. It's a deliberately placed rabble.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

Nuttall comes across as a thick racist thug.

Whereas the audience come across as just thick thugs.

well, on a relative level Nuttall shouldn't be there. He's clearly not educated or experienced enough to be anywhere near this kind of exposure, truy an embarrassment but no surprise really.

Most of the audience haven't spoken at all, so how do you come to that conclusion?

Watching the audience fawn over everything that falls out the mouth of Corbyn is proof enough it's selection is weighted in favour of the left.

Perhaps; it's just as likely that most of the audience is liking what he says.

Given the way the BBC has sniped away at Labour during the campaign (just read Laura Kuessenberg's comments every day for evidence), I doubt the Beeb would have gone out of its way to rig things in Jezza's favour.

Not that 100 people in a hall in Cambridge will have much bearing on a general election.

Strangely he seems to be the only one up there that knows what the first "I" in ISIS stands for. That's racist, apparently, because of two incidents perpetrated by white people. Audience lapped it up though.

This whole debate, the audience and moderation is "truy" (sic) an embarrassment. Well done to the BBC.

"well known polling agencies" also predicted, each and every one of them, a Hilary landslide. These debates have previous form in selection bias, specifically the BBC debate last GE. It is painfully, painfully evident in this case.
