All this deflecting.

Looks like head teachers may call for some action against cuts in schools at the NAHT conference this weekend.
Fertile ground for persuading people not to vote Tory when they find out what's going on at their kids and grandkids school.

You live in a bubble of socialist rhetoric.

Labour's policies will just create debt for children and grandchildren. Corbyn's type of policies have never worked anywhere ever.

Hrolf

I couldn't agree more.

I was just going make a rare foray into a political debate on HOL to post this very message !

I think I will leave it at this and allow others to debate otherwise it will only go one way with the focus on 'Yours Truly' rather than the matter under discussion.Over to you chaps and chapesses !

You obviously ignore the spiralling debt caused by austerity.
Care to explain why you think investment and job creation will lead to more debt when Keynesian economics shows a positive return on these types of investments.

Your response regarding the economy is based upon speculation rather than referring to fact. Granted that Brown was a disaster as PM and should never had sold gold reserves at bargain basement price and that he did also admit that he should've regulated the banks albeit three months before 2010 General Election (long after the damage had been done); but what Osborne has achieved certainly eclipses all of the aforementioned.

As mentioned before (yet some still choose to blame Brown/Labour), Brown was politely asked to sell the gold. The effect of dumping this much gold on the market forced the price down thus, surprise surprise, aiding a large (American) bank to 'straighten-out' it's books by buying at a far cheaper price than before.
In effect it was another bail-out for the parasitical financial system............again paid for by us.
Whoever had been in power at the time would also have been ''politely asked'' and would also have had no option but to sell.

Cunds.

More like running away when confronted with facts and figures that back up how the Tories are f***ing up our green and pleasant.

There is no spiraling debt beyond the interest payments on all the money that Labour borrowed.
What will they invest with? More borrowed money which means even more repayment in the future.

I hope you don't run your family budget like you would run the country

You really talk some s***e.

No. What they did was stop borrowing and start paying the debt. That is what the figures show.

Just because you keep parroting something doesn't make it true.

Total and utter hogwash on both scores.
Archetypal left-wing bilge.

I have lost count of the number of times I have got into protracted and fiesty political debate over the years much to the disgust of my dear wife who has seen me in a 'Hissy Fit' as I have defended my dear Conservatives to the hilt.I am certainly NOT a milquetoast who shies away from arguing my case.

In the interests of HOL, I decide NOT to get into any political debate because as sure as night follows day it will desintegrate into a debate about "Yours Truly" rather than the matter under discussion. My wife agrees that this is best NOT only for me but for HOL.Brimstone and gladitorial hostility would take the place of mature and reasoned debate.
My goodness I could really go "To town" about the shambolic Corbyn and his left-wing comrades and all the 'Placards and protestors' brigade. What a pathetic opposition !

In actual fact I'm NOT even going to bother to browse this 'Thread' any more so all the barbs against me and the Conservatives will remain unseen.

Ostrich.
Fair play for the word of the day though.

Before you go, how do you answer the charge that it is irrefutable that this Tory lot have created more debt since 2010 than all labour governments combined?
