I think what we are missing here is when people talk about racism it's thought about as a individual thing but really it's a culture thing and you can't blame people for that as most want to be alongside other people who are 'like them' and have similar lives, just look at your own friendship group.

For example it's absolutely fine for you as a 'westerner' to let your daughter go out in a short skirt high heels drink coke and have a McDonald's whereas in the Muslim culture it's absolutely fine to kill your daughter if she doesn't believe in the faith.

You can see why that gets a few people's backs slightly up.

Your western son comes out gay ok not over the moon but fine as long as he is happy, some cultures .. kill again.. horses for courses as they say..
