Surely you can see how being called a ****** or shirt lifter, or hearing some abused in this way, is deeply unpleasant: you're black or gay - or have any empathy with your fellow man.

Now I will admit to having used homophobic language in the past and I'm not proud of it but I was young, foolish and not that thoughtful about these things. It comes down to the fact that I didn't give a toss about some people's feelings.

Yes of course, but it's no worse than being called fat, stupid, lazy, smelly, or any thing else you could say in a derogatory manner about a persons physical or mental attributes. It is still just essentially name calling, that actually as far as the Weed go is only correct to (in relation to the size of the crowd) to a small minority, not that it makes it right, but it is to me no different than calling my Brother a thick Fcuker for losing his phone for the umpteenth time.

Are you trying to tell me Gay men don't take the piss out of anything or anyone, because I will tell you something, some of the gay guys that I know in the Army will rip the piss out of someone if they have a hair out of place, but that's allowed because there gay.
