Being very bored I looked at our results and came up with the following points won from points available so far data:

Arsenal 3 from 6
Bournemouth 4 from 6
Burnley 0 from 3
Chelsea 3 from 6
Everton 1 from 6
Hull 1 from 3
Leicester 1 from 6
Liverpool 0 from 3
Man City 0 from 3
Man Utd 0 from 3
Middlesborough 6 from 6
Southampton 3 from 6
Spurs 0 from 3
Stoke 3 from 6
Sunderland 3 from 6
Swansea 0 from 6
Watford 4 from 6
West Brom 3 from 6
West Ham 0 from 6

The most disappointing results must be those for Swansea and West Ham given their positions with respect to us. We have only really performed well against Middlesborough, Bournemouth and Watford so far. Mind you six points from Arsenal and Chelsea is not to be sniffed at.

This is totally pointless. You look at everyone season. You have blips and periods of form. The survival bid in our own hands. In fact we could still lose 3 of our remaining 6 games and still be a point head. Let's back the boys in red and blue. Minimum we need is 1 win and maybe a point.

He scores one with left foot, he scores one with his right
And When his playing Brighton, He scores all f***ING Night!

I'm not sure what you are reading into this post. All I've done is posted some information out of interest.

I read as if we could go down because we lost to say West Ham or Sunderland (h) . I thought you posted this regards the running (the games left)

No intent to infer we could go down - I think we'll be alright. I was just interested in how we'd performed against other teams over the season.

Interesting reading... we've only taken one point from all of the remaining teams we're due to play.

If that mirrors its self then I'm afraid we'll probably be relegated.

We need another massive result.

Missed penalties against Bournemouth, West Ham and Watford would have given us 5 extra points. We'd be sitting on 40 points now and safe!

So we have, but quite a few of those games pre-date the change of management and our January signings...he said hopefully

Update after the last few games. Now disappointing against Swansea, West Ham and Burnley. Oh for 1 point from each of those three.

To stay up you should be beating the teams near the bottom and hope for the odd good win again st one of the better teams. W Ham, Swansea and now Burnley have done the double over us and we lost 4-0 at home to the bottom club. If we go down, that will be where we lost it.

We have lost many games by one goal and many if just two of them had been draws we would of been safe. Trouble was we weren't in Sam's words respecting the point. Not having a dig at Pardew, but I did say very regularly that he just will not set up to not lose and when he did try to protect leads the team were incapable because of a lack of defensive coaching in the art of not having the ball. You give players too much artistic freedom and they will inevitably get carried away. Something Sam encountered in the first few weeks. Even with the new manager the players still had the same gung-ho attitude and approach. Swansea twice, Burnley, spring to mind.
Many won't like this, but the keeper has cost us some points too.
