Given that Hennessey had little to do today gives Big Sam has a nice problem there. It would be nice to give him a rest against Spurs and start Speroni but he's on a roll right now and goalkeeping is all about confidence. PVA should return as left back with Schlupp in front of him. Let Townsend and McArthur start with Cabaye and Zaha coming on if needed in the second half. Unless Tomkins is fully fit he should not play at all with Sakho coming back into the side. At this point, with safety in our grasp, let's not risk players rashly.

Good post "Willo".

What an incredible end to the season we are having!

To think we have beaten Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool with two of those results away in the space of a few games, brilliant.

I'd like us to go for it against tottenham, although even in this great time, Tottenham are going to want to come back after their cup defeat and they are class.

lets try and finish top 10! The crap season we had has turned out pretty alright!

If we beat Spurs, I'll be very impressed; really can't see it happening. We were lucky against Chelsea, we played a badly out of form Arsenal and a Liverpool side we always do well against and are inconsistent this season. Spurs are just solid and on top form.

That's the spirit! An out of form Arsenal would have beaten us not long ago. What about when we played Swansea just as they changed manager, unfortunate timing for us.
Not having a go but could you honestly see us winning any of these games early season/

I do agree about Spurs, can't see us getting anything as they do look a good outfit but who knows? I have a spring in my step today for the first time this season!!

This is Palace, will you lot never learn! As soon as things look too good something comes along and knocks us back. We could easily lose all our remaining games. Might sound mad but who but Palace could lose 4-0 to Sunderland and then beat Chelsea, Arsenal & Liverpool.

In the recent past we've played badly against teams like Burnley & Hull and with a few bad refereeing decisions could lose to them. Spurs and Man U are both tough and consistent. We could easily get over-condident and relax too much.

Both Hull & Swansea have some momentum so 38 points may not be quite enough this year.

One more win and I will think we are just about safe. Not before!!

I expect to see wholesale starting line up changes on Weds. Spurs are in stunning form and will be very motivated after Saturday. They have had a day's extra rest, no travel and nothing else to save themselves for. We are on a hiding to nothing on Weds. Even with fresh first choices we would likely lose to Spurs at the moment and with Burnley being much more winnable I expect to see Sam giving others the responsibility to hold out until 60 mins and then bring on the appropriate big guns to perform a rescue, or protect a lead or a point. Of course I could be wrong and what he said was just mind games!

Don't think Swansea have built up much "Momentum" having lost 5 of their last 7 games.
Hull are good at Home of course but have been found seriously 'Wanting' away from Home.

No you have to factor in them winning their remaining games they are good teams and the opposition may be uninterested like Watford or Stoke.

Swansea can get 43 points so we need 5 more points and we have much superior goal difference.

A win against Spurs would be a great quartet of scalps.

There is zero chance Manure and Everton will be anywhere close to being as uninterested as Stoke and Watford. Manure can still get top 4 if they win all their games and Everton can finish in top 6.

Yes Swansea may win both of those games but it would be a massive shock. Manure are unbeaten in about 22 games for one thing.

I hope we play a full strength team on Wednesday and again on Saturday.
It would be unfair to other top teams to field a weakened side and if we got thumped that would knowck the team spirit and confidence.
I bet they can't wait for Wednesday night and although Spurs are the form team right now they will not relish coming to us under the lights.
I thought 37 points was safe but would feel much happier with another win!

After the game SA said that he will need to make some changes after the exertion of the players over the last few games.
Spurs are gunning for Chelsea and are gonna go at us like a bull in a china shop ... I reckon SA knows this and we cannot afford any more injuries to the starting 11 and need to give some of them a rest ... i think he will bring in some of the squad players.
I think they will be up for it and show that they can be in the starting 11 ... I predict a draw.
Massive result against the scouser ..... Eaaagllllessss
