A win Wednesday could push us up to 9th! Yes 9th, can you believe that! Who would have thought that a few months ago.
And no, not saying I expect us to beat Spurs, just elated we are safe and looking forward to being at the Burnley game. Thought it would be a crunch one but now it can be a festive fixture and I do not mind at all!!

The win yesterday was massive & it would seem that we are now safe, but I can't celebrate until its mathematically impossible for us to relegated.

The big thing now is the number of teams between us and Swansea in 18th, all of which would have to find some results to pass us.

Not suggesting we're safe just yet and want another win as soon as possible to confirm it (I don't think it'll be against Spurs though, as I think he'll rest 3 or 4 with an eye on the Burnley game), but the fact we're 12th is massive.

Those of us old enough will always be mindful of what Oldham did, but we were the team 1 place above relegation to be caught, this time there are others in much worse form than us who will be looking over their shoulder at Swansea and Hull.

Increasingly confident, but still wanting another win (or 5!!) to really believe its true.

WH

Ward Sakho Kelly PvA

Luka

Jimmy Mac CYL

Wilf Benteke Townsend

4 changes to Sunday's starting lineup. Would qualify as "huge" changes SA talked about and obviously Tomkins, Schlupp, Cabaye and Punch would all be capable of 30 mins from the bench.

Only Cabaye and maybe Punch would be missed really

I suspect Punch, with his new role as captain, will play but we shall see.

Playing CYL against Spurs midfield will be about as useful as playing me against Spurs midfield.

We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football.

Agree on that one, but lets see. Sam did seem to indicate there were going to be significant changes and maybe even more then 4 could take place. PvA looks a logic one, Damien might well play too with maybe Ward a game off and Kelly on the right. We may have quality going forward but we surely don't have depth. Maybe Campbell will play but frankly guessing he might give Benteke the choice. MacArthur will come in I guess and possibly Sako without the h, which I am looking forward to as I believe he actually is a good squad player for us.

Have you not noticed how they've all become world beaters. Judge Chungy if ever he gets 10 games under SA.

He's been in training with SA for 4 months now. I suspect Sam would've used him by now if he felt it was a good idea.

Agreed, he wasn't even included on the bench on Sunday. Sako and Flamini preferred in place of him.

Who will admit that they've kept looking at that sweet table over the last 24 hours, at every opportunity? I will!
