The guy has been a giant in protecting the defence .

Kelly has always struck me as a decent defender but like all defenders needs support and protection from the midfield ,its not an option its the way it should be and thankfully now is at the Palace .

I'd suggest that that's part of the reason together with the signing of Sakho.

personally would still want to get in another if Sakho goes.

Well, we would have Kelly, Dann and Tomkins available as centre-backs so you would presumably want one more cover if Delaney leaves or retires. But moving Kelly over means we need to spend money at right-back because we'd only have Ward.

Mind you Campbell didn't do too badly considering

According to him Wikipedia page whilst at Liverpool he was on the fringes of the England squad and has the short international career on record about two minutes. I wonder what position he played for England?

Fantastic last night against the spuds-MOM performance! MK has been improving hand over fist under SA & SL in recent months at CB (as have the rest of the defence).

Just as well for Palace as we are relying on him and Delaney to see us through to the end of the season now.

Who could have imagined that a couple of months ago!

So who plays on Saturday?
Back four: Ward, Schlupp, Delaney, Kelly.
Midfield: Milo, Cabaye, Puncheon.
Up front: Zaha, Townsend, Benteke.
Good enough to beat Burnley?

The right place at the right time

Deputising for Rooney man-marking the referee and getting close to his left ear. No wonder they dropped him.

I would say that team is about right. Keeping McArthur as a sub to come in defensively makes sense if someone were to get a knock. PVA / Macca and another (Youth) in defensive positions.

Well five months ago we weren't sure we had any...
