It doesn't sound like a good thing to me. At the moment the US investors are happy to allow Parish to deal with the day-to-day running of the club. That may not be the case with this company, and as already pointed out, the Granada experience doesn't look encouraging. There was always going to be a risk of new investors, with no real connection to the club, possibly selling out at some time. Not that I'm saying that's what Harris and Blitzer want, as they haven't been invested for two years yet.

My slight worry is, their principal raison d'etre was to fund stadium refurbishment, initially to the tune of £50m (with the possibility, I think, of further investment), and that the square root of zilch seems to have happened since. We seem to need every brass farthing just to stay in the PL and perhaps doing major works at SP has proved more problematical than they were led to believe. As I've said before, it would help if we could have an unequivocal statement on where exactly we are with it.

From the outside I have found it hard to comprehend how 'Selhurst Park' in it's current state could be transformed into an extended modern stadium on it's current site given the space contraints etc etc and also given the fact that it has been said that the work would be carried out without a need for us to move elsewhere whilst it was in progress. Let's face it, there is a helluva lot to do to change it to the required standard - we are starting from a low base !

I'm thinking of some of the other clubs who have had new stadiums - Arsenal, Southampton, Sunderland, Middlesbrough, Stoke,Bolton,Brighton, Cardiff, Derby, Hull, Leicester, Man C, Reading etc etc - All moved away from their original 'Homes' for a variety of reasons. And of course Tottenham will be moving as well.
I appreciate that other sites other than 'Selhurst Park' have been explored and have proved unsuitable etc etc but this doesn't detract from the fact that there are major challenges to develop at our current ground.

I've no idea whether the required works are possible or not, but I would like to be told one way or the other rather than all the ducking and diving that Parish does whenever he's asked about it. If he's as vague with the other investors I wouldn't really blame them for having second thoughts.

I think our "friends" on the South Coast will be prime targets for a takeover. As far as I'm concerned they are welcome to it, at this time more than happy with what we have got.

chinese Palace ? is that Forbidden Palace, the big timber yoke in the centre of Beijing ? Doesnt sound very democratic. This could seriously imperil our wishes to sign any talented midfielders from Tibet.

Americans have not got a great record of being good at running English football teams the way the fans want their club to be run. However, Steve Parish , who does have the club at heart, seems to have built up a good relationship with them. Chinese consortiums are a force that is coming, some of them are huge and have state backing, so the potential is enormous. I've got to say though, this lot do sound a bit tin-pot, Grenada are going down and Tony Adams , although a great player seems to be a bit of a clown now. Think with foreign owners it's all a bit hit or miss really.

I would have been inclined to agree until I saw how they've developed Anfield. Ultimately, developments in engineering mean you can build a structure over an existing one, which is what the club are seriously looking at. The problem is Croydon council and Sainsbury's. Sad really.

Yes, but Anfield doesn't need the serious upgrading required at 'Selhurst Park' to turn it into a modern stadium. We start from a much lower base I'm afraid.

It's really behind it and higher than it until old one is dismantled, replaced and joined to the half behind, but i agree with what you've said. It's just some have difficulty comprehending this or believing it's possible to do this and/or redevelop selhurst no matter how many times they post and are given these details to say it can be, but the difficulty is the council and Sainsburys.
