Zaha is consistently provoked and usually policed by three defenders. It is surprising he stays up as long as he does and doesn't turn round and chin some of his persecutors. One day he will get a serious injury and does require more protection from referees.

Having said that he DOES go down too easily on occasions and he DOES whine at refs and linesmen.
Human nature being what it is (and most refs ARE human despite arguments to the contrary) it is no wonder that he doesn't get many of the decisions he deserves.

Someone must take him in hand and try to put a wiser man on young shoulders.

Do Ronaldo, Hazard, Costa, Ibra, Sterling, Aguerro, Suarez, Neymar, Alves, Ramos, Pedro, Rooney, Alli, Dembele, Sanchez, Firminho, Coutinho, Arnautovic, Miralles, Lamela, Fabregas, Yaya, Henderson, FFS, Arter, Wilshire, Luiz, Vardy, Mahrez, Lallana (and I could go on and on), moan and complain? Think the answer is a resounding yes and with refs being human it's amazing how they have all managed to not be singled out by referees over the years. If as some suggest the refs are influenced by his constant asking for a foul when constantly being fouled then you are actually admitting that they are cheating. Something many of us actually believe is true and you are all backing up our claims. So thank you for that, cos I was beginning to think I was imagining it.
Wilf could go down easily time and time again, but amazingly he stays up under some severe pressure most of the time. Players in every position dive, mainly to get out of trouble. Caught on the ball in midfield, stuck with a winger at your back facing the wrong way. How many times does the fullback dive to the floor with the slightest touch from the wide player and get the free kick? Yet the only people anyone complains about are the wingers and forwards trying to get an advantage. Thing is it's the job of these players to win things, get an advantage. So if you really want to complain about someone trying to seek an advantage, you're actually criticising them for doing their jobs. I hate the blatant cheating and faking injury as much as the next man, but until retrospective punishments come in and laws are properly enforced nothing will change. Hopefully video used sparingly will help overturn the real howlers and help make a more honest game. fingers crossed.
Two blatant dives won penalties this weekend and they've been heavily scrutinised and discussed, so the chance of Wilf winning one next weekend have just gone through the floor and a booking for simulation through the roof.
Madley is a bad referee, the worst of the current crop in my opinion and no amount of blaming the players can disguise that.
