Was from block C.

Silly thing to do but we've all done silly things in the heat of the moment.

A seasons ban would seem sensible to me when he or she is found, which they will be.

With all due respect I think you are missing the point.

If it is banned as I believe it is to celebrate in front of the home fans and it is the refs job to call them back as they also do not do when the all+in wrestling that you see at corners is not punished. When the FA start looking at some of the dodgy decisions against us and also have a chat with the refs about why so many 50 50 decisions go against the "lesser" teams then it is time to look at a lighter chucked from a fair distance back otherwise send a letter to Steve and ask him to control things (and of course a similar letter to the ref who allowed it (twice). Not condoning the chucking in the least just saying there should be some equanimity her.

Enjoying getting up later and not having someone who knows better than me (apart from the missus of course).

Its a criminal act so if caught it will have serious consequences and could end up as a life changing mistake.

Sounds like you're justifying it.
Fact is they scored, fact is they're allowed to celebrate, fact is you ain't allowed to throw things at people. Like I say ban away teams from scoring to protect the precious.

They must have some throwing power if it came from block C.
There seemed to be several items being picked up from the pitch.
If it was a lighter that hit the player it would still be painful if aimed from distance.
But it really is irrelevant what was thrown it's an idiotic thing to do.Obviously it is dangerous but apart from that the club will be punished financially, and also if these incidents are repeated points could be deducted ,which could be disastrous. Who ever the culprit is should get a lengthy ban from Selhurst Park, say 2-3 years.

I believe the lad that squared up to Damo avoided a complete banning order due to there being no physical contact but still had his ST revoked. If there had been contact it would be deemed as assault & he would have been banned from all football stadia.

It would therefore follow that, as the throwing of an object to cause harm is classified as assault then a full banning order is quite likely.

What really boils my p*** is that you could see we'd lost any semblance of fairness from the ref as soon as It happened & he took the thrown articles to the 4th official. Not saying it was the reason for his poor performance but I don't think it helped one iota.

Will this be five? It's gonna be five! It IS five!

Yes you are! No excuse for throwing anything. At best it gives the opposition players ammunition to play to it. At worst it is moronic and unacceptable, a player could easily be seriously injured (if hit in the eye). What would you say if this happened to Wilf?

No mate I am still not missing the point

If Wilf had play acted like the Burnley player
The ref would have booked him.

Now lets get it into perspective again.
It was a plastic lighter that bounced of his head.
Jesus christ

When I was a kid we used to nick the bog roles out of the toilets at the back of the Holmesdale to throw onto the pitch
Sorry to the blokes back then that had to go for a crap.
If that Burnley player was around back then and the bog role streamer had hit him, then he would have had to be admitted to Mayday intensive care

Bloke was a arsewipe who had better stay indoors in the Autumn in case a leaf falls on his head

poor lamb

The person responsible for throwing the deadly weapon might just have been someone who was about to give up smoking and thought
Bugger this I will throw my lighter away so that I cant have a ciggarete

The poor Burnley lamb just got in the way

Just goes to show that smoking can be bad for your health
