And it's very unusual for teams fighting for their lives at the end of the season to pick up points so Swansea and Borough not losing had to be down to their opponents playing another football match three days earlier too. And Burnley have a sh1te manager so no way they should have won. It's all bloody Sky's fault.

The biggest problem is the growth in European Club Games via the Champians League & Europa Cup and excluding PL games not to be played when there are European Club Games. A small reason is there aren't any PL matches planned for FA Cup 5th round day like there used to be.

I had a conversation with an old chap last night about us looking drained after 3 games in 6 days. He wasn't having it, saying that in the old days they used to play with heavy balls on horrible pitches and never complained about fatigue ! Needless to say we had a fiesty exchange of views and my wife intervened to put a stop to our contretemps.

We played a tough match on Wednesday. Burnley didn't.

The chap whom I spoke to was just a miserable old git who was living in the 'Dark ages'. He was going on about brown balls and laces and clawing mud on pitches etc etc ! The midweek games have nothing to do with Sky/BT? It's no secret that teams that haven't played mid week, compared to those who have, have an advantage in the following game, but it's not exactly a game changer.

We have often seen the consequences of having insufficient cover in key positions but we provided ourselves with five centre-backs FFS. Five. And we're still down to our bare bones with them after losing one per match. One due to luck, one due to the schedule, and one due to a thug in a red shirt who bl**dy well should have been dismissed.

I noticed quite a few on here were criticising Man United's performance today and saying how good Swansea were. Well United had put everything into their Derby game against City last Thursday and are also currently decimated by injuries, meaning that quite a few of their players are playing pretty much every game. If anything i think Swansea missed out on a chance of putting more pressure on ourselves and Hull, by failing to win today Of course, three international breaks in the first 12 weeks had nothing to do with any fixture congestion.

The TV games on Thursday are a choice Palace had this choice with a game and said we need the extra day so they did not appear on tv. You can't compare other sports due to fitness requirements are not the same. I find it interesting looking at fixtures how all the lower leagues in this country play 2-3 games a week throughout the season and no moaning from them but in the prem it's like the end of the world has come with the so called best players in the world can't cope (the fitness levels should be better) Footballers are too soft now they live in this bubble of luxury.

It's the fact that one team that's just played a midweek game vs one that hasn't changes the balance. In the lower leagues there's 8 more games so you can afford to drop points and a given that points get dropped. You cannot afford that in the prem. Every point is gold dust or Sam would've rested players v Spurs. Look at the odd results midweek in the championship. Plus there's more time and space on the ball in slower matches.
