I am surprised at Collina, who was a superb referee in his day, tarninshing what was a great reputation by aligning himself with someone who isn't fit to clean his boots. He happened to be running FIFA - Not sure many considered him "Best in the world" to do so. So are we to totally ignore the view of many, certainly those who know what they are talking about, when they claim that people are amongst the top in the world at their profession ? People don't get such accolades unless they are deserving of them.

"Willo" thinks Cluttenfunk's performance in the Cup Final was ok because he said "Sor-ree" afterwards. So that's ok. You luvvie up to "Fergie", stiff Palace afterwards, then when everyone points out what you did, say sorry because there was no "alternative". His gong in Dubai was awarded at a self-congratulatory love-in by a load of football agents and tv companies, which was probably staged to boost Dubai's claims as a tourist resort, and was worth precisely nothing.

Of course you are entitled to your opinion and I respect the opinions of the "Great and good" on HOL even though I might fervently disagree with them from time to time. There might be some fiesty exchanges with my detractors but I have nothing personal against them and don't intend any offence. At the end of the day, the smorgasbord of opinions make the likes of HOL much more enlightning and interesting and adds a certain value to the cut and thrust of debate.
