We are paying for Sam's only real mistake since he joined. Playing a full side against Spurs. If we had rested 5 or 6 and lost that 3 or 4 nil we would have had Sakho et al fit for Burnley and won that. We are now back to the reality of the available first team losing 3 on the bounce and all out of confidence. No more points this season......just have to rely on others to not overtake us.

Foreign investment does not = success. The championship to league 2 is littered with teams who have had that fate bestowed on them...an plummeted as a result. Leyton Orient, Charlton, Leeds... Obviously money helps...but for every Abramovic there are a lot more Becchetti's or Duchaelet's. We are not a small club or hard up...our spending on both transfers and wages exceeds those in the bottom half of the table.
