That season we went 16 games without a Win.
Allison made the pitch wider for the first game of the season,Notts County.
We lost 4-1,he made the pitch smaller for the next game.!!!

God I remember that night in Wales I was also there. But we weren't terrible......and for the wider pitch game!!! That didn't last long.
...and I was at Stockport.....all these are great memories.

If we do stay up then I really think Sam could build a half decent squad and get into mid table but we always hit the self destruct button so I'm not holding my breathe.

If you think it's 50/50 you should definitely put a bet on. 16/1 with Sky Bet.

So that would be about 94/6 to stay up then. I would have said about 85/15 but what do I know?

Ok. So maybe I was a little annoyed on Saturday when creating this post, however I am a long time fan like many of you so do not appreciate being to told to "stick to hockey" or "we dont need your support" by some of the regulars on here. What makes you such a better Palace fan that others? I would be delighted to hear! Also if anyone thinks this is the worst season ever they have clearly not been around for long. I was at Stockport, Hillsborough and on all the other occasions when we were looking into the abyss and I am very grateful for Mr Parish and what we have now. However like others I think that having spent a vast amount of money the fact that teams like Burnley and Swansea have done the double over us this season is unacceptable. Also look at the teams above us. Bournemouth have spent next to nothing, West Brom, West Ham, Watford have all got safe before us. Do you not think that this group should be doing better? Anyway lets hope to God that we can get out of this mess, however judging by our injury list and by the way this team have perfomed recently Hull and UTD will run us ragged in my opinion.

We have not been good enough over the course of a whole season and dare I say it will be playing Championship football next season. Today showed that. No amount of injuries can excuse that performance today. I for one just hope that this will be a wake up call for Parish and realization that he should have sacked Pardew after the cup final! Also it will hopefully stop him hanging around with his so called mate Brighty and that fake, Judas,so called legend Ian Wright and he will start to see what it really takes to make this club successful! Cannot wait for this season to end!

We have only had a manager with any degree of tactical nous and who is respected by the players since December. And we've been savagely butt-f*cked, sans lube, with injuries for the last three games. After Arsenal, it was looking like we were coasting towards safety.

Fate is a fickle jade, especially as other teams around us started to notch up important results. Fortunes can change in a heartbeat in football. Yes, overall it's been an unsatisfactory season, hinted at by Pardew when he ominously described us as a team 'in transition' but
it's not beyond redemption. Not only is it firmly in our hands but there are banana skins a-plenty awaiting our relegation rivals, too.

Keep the faith.

Let's face it. Without Sakho we would be third from bottom right now and looking really doomed. So, all in all, it's been a bloody good season if we survive considering.

2. I guarantee we're not a lower end payer in the Prem so it's not relative.
3. If you enjoy the prospect of going down and losing the likes of Wilf you're the one that needs to find another team to support

Then i fear you'd be wrong as I read an article the other day saying we had the 4th lowest wage bill

That is hard to believe as we had a wage bill of £70mill two seasons ago (official figure).

Would be very surprised if any of the below were bigger

Bournemouth
Stoke
Burnley
Watford
Southampton
Swansea
Hull
Middlesbrough
Sunderland
