Let's hope that one of our injured CBs is declared fit to play. However, is there no one in our Development Squad who can step up to the mark ? We cannot have a repeat of the shambles against City with players hopelessly lost whilst playing out of position. The obvious answer is to look to our returning loan players but Exeter City have made the Play Offs so Luke Croll will no doubt be staying on with them. Ryan Inniss (our 6ft 5inches twenty one year old CB) was once tipped as a future first team player for the Eagles and he may be back from his loan at Southend. If so and he is fit, why not give him a go ? It appears that we have some young players with potential at CB who may see the Hull game as the one that could help them make their name at the Club. Let's not forget a certain Jim Cannon who made his debut on 31 March 1973 aged 19 years in a pressure game against Chelsea at Selhurst Park which we won 2-0. Jim scored the second goal and went on to become a Palace Legend making 660 appearances. Failing that we may have to play Ward alongside Kelly as the CBs - many fans seem to feel that both are suited to the role.

Was really hoping that next week I would be able to enjoy our last home game of a really poor season knowing we are already safe. But this is Palace and I should have known it would never be straight forward

We are the ones under real pressure next week. It's s*** or bust for Hull. They should come and throw the kitchen sink at us especially knowing our defensive situation. Coupled with our poor home form against teams in and around us it could be a nervy 90 minutes.

My biggest fear is that we will end up needing a result against Man U in the final game. Sadly I can't see us getting anything at Old Trafford even if The Special one did put out his under 23 squad.

If I was going to risk selecting a totally inexperienced player at centre back against Hull, I might just do it if he was going to play alongside Sakho or maybe Dann.....but not Kelly.
