I just hope that finally the chairman will realise tht you can't do things on the cheap.

I'd say we need two center halfs, two strikers, another right back, goalkeeper and a midfielder. That's 7.

Outs,

Campbell,Chung,Fryers,Delaney,Kelly,Mandander.

Pretty much spot on. Kelly I might consider as a back up player (as he can play full back and centre back) but we need two central defenders, a right back, a goal keeper (Pickford from Sunderland maybe) and a defensive minded midfielder.

See, we do sometimes agree - All of those players, except maybe Kelly, I'd say are surplus to requirements over several seasons.

We agree on quite a lot of things.

There is an argument for 2 centre halfs in and 1 out. Perhaps 3 in and 2 out would be better.

With who I would keep/sell/release It would leave us with 19 players if you included speroni, boateng and Kai Kai. They would need to be included in the 25 due to age next year.

It would look something like this....if I was in charge (thank goodness I am not)

Parish will be choking on his champagne if he reads this.

This season we splashed a staggering £30m on Benteke, whose 14 goals give us a chance of staying up.

We also did £13m on an England international (Andros) and during the January window Parish spent another £30m-odd.

As a club we have thrown absolutely mental money at it.

I never realised the squad was so vast. Somewhere in those ranks there's a hiding Japanese soldier who doesn't know that World Wa II has ended.

Neither Boateng or Kaikai are good enough

James mcarthur been terrible now for at least a month. Name one good game his played under Sam. I mentioned that Tomkins had done well earlier on the thread. Luka without Sakho you may aswell have jedinak. I've been impressed with schlupp but PVA is average at best. Dann is not prem standard anymore. I also stated that it's unlikely that many would leave but I wouldn't be disappointed if they did.

1 whole month? Yeah you're right I hadn't realised it had been such a run of poor form.

Luca has just arrived in the PL, if anything he has done well to adapt as quickly as he has. A lot of top European players tak a full season to adapt. We should see the best of him next season.

Interesting take on PVA v Schlupp, personally I think PVA is the better of the two but that's opinions I guess.

the dignified don't even enter in the game

Think we can clear out Kelly, and Delaney. Possible sign Sahko or another equally competent CB. new RB with Ward becoming a squad player, Keep Cabaye, Townsend, Benteke if possible and buy a new striker

To be fairer I would say unproven at this level. I want to see them get a chance next season. Both have talent its a case of them proving it when they get a chance. Same with Lapado. If we don't give them a chance then why bother at all with young players.

Don't really see a massive overhaul occurring considering how much money has been invested into the current squad.

If we kept everybody currently with us the only area I see considerable improvement possible would be:

Goalkeeper; Left-footed centre-half and a Number 10 to support the centre-forward.

That's it, but would cost around £40m to be potentially really effective and not come with any guarantees.
