In this match I wouldn't play Townsend but would play PVA and Schlupp on the left. I just think Townsend has a niggle and I just don't know if he's a fighter. I think this would make the midfield that bit stronger.

Put Townsend on the bench, as an impact sub I think he's got a goal in him.

Shrewd. But put an arm round Andros when doing so, so he doesn't take it as a snub and then seek to return to Geordieland for his cut of the £100million on offer from Ashley.

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

except the second goal for Burnley!

The second goal was moot, as we scored none. Also, if he gets himself sent off, we're out of CBs for the rest of the season.

We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football.

Or maybe not a mistake. Depends whether you think Sam left out people to rest them. I don't really think he believed we could get anything from that game

Delaney didn't need rest, and there was plenty of recovery time between the Burnley and City games, as there is between City and Hull, and Hull and Utd.

PhysioRoom has Dann & Tomkins facing late fitness tests......is it worth playing them both if they pass, or too risky? Probably the strongest partnership on paper if they are fit enough to play....

If BFS puts half fit players out I hope it is the right decision. Time will tell.

I would leave Kelly out if at all possible - with Sakho he was fine but otherwise he seems to be a bit "rabbit in the headlights"!
