When you say 'disliked' is the dislike due to incompetence or unpleasantness - if the former then Taylor, but the bloke I liked least was that miserable useless boring git Francis - who was also useless. Mullery was and despite becoming born again is horrible but was good value - sheepskin jacket, shades, cigar, leather gloves ranting on the touchline in front of 4000 at home to Barnsley or Shrewsbury - we played West ham in the cup, he headed an incoming ball out of the dug out, the crowd cheered, he bowed then Ray Stewart volleyed the ball straight back at him which brought a two-fingers sign encased in said leather gloves - priceless.

2. Malcolm Alison - Two relegations to 3rd division football
3. Alan Mullery

How can you hate Warnock? He was great for us first time and came in second time as a stop gap until pardew.

Appreciate it was aimed at a different poster but I wrote much the same thing. From my perspecive he was out of his depth, we only won 3 out of 16 games with him in charge at there were many a time I looked at him on the touchline and thought Christ he really is all we can get and he's out of his depth and looks completely clueless. I will also admit at the time I felt quite angry towards the board for him being brought back. Felt they hadn't really given much thought to who else we could get and tried to do it all a bit on the cheap until it dawned on them we were in trouble and then they had to get someone in with a bit more gravitas.

Just to add I don't hate him. I reserve that accolade for pulis.

Without naming names, a prominent person currently at the club was NOT best pleased when Jordan appointed Francis and let him know his feelings about the appointment.

Reading through this lot reminded me we have had so many bad and/or dishonest managers and managers that have left us in a mess that it is no wonder we have been through administrations and have struggled for so long to establish ourselves in the top division.

I cannot imagine there are many professional clubs with a history as colorful as ours.

Interesting there are so many different lists on here, I guess it reflects the difference eras where we've all had our most intense Palace experiences. I cannot order the bad ones as so many were so bad in so many different ways. So far SA is nowhere near the list.

Yeah I certainly can't understand any dislike towards him, if anything I like him a lot more since he's managed us than before.

We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold...

There's no-one 'prominent' at the club now that was around and close enough to Jordan to say that in 2001 that i can think of.

Gissa clue.

Teflon Phil, I'd guess.

Anyway..... it's got to be Mullery. Not only a sh*t manager but an obnoxious c*nt into the bargain. All these other names being bandied about had at least one redeeming feature but Mullery ticked every "c*nt' box available.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

I was NOT referring to 'Phil Alexander'.
I'll leave it at that.

As Kermie said, there's nobody 'prominent' from that 'era' who's still at the 'club' other than Alexander. One must therefore assume that your definition of 'prominent'differs from what I understand it to mean.

Sh*t or get off the 'pot'.
