Parish said tonight that there had been no conversations about transfers and no targets had been listed.

Hardly surprising when we didn't even know what division we would be in until last night.

There may not have been any formal discussions but I'm sure the whole management are aware that a certain blonde streaked centre back is the starting point for incomings

Do we need to keep Hennessey or do we look to upgrade. Surely he has been a problem this year and of all the positions in the team is the weakest.

I'd be very surprised if we would spend 20 million though. Parish said tonight that there had been no conversations about transfers and no targets had been listed.

I think after this season we need an upgrade,Hennesy isnt bad but he does flap at crosses,he did it again yesterday, was miles away, and put unnecesary pressure on the defender, and then the whole game changes on a bad call by him ,if they score,I have been prepared to support him this season ,but if we are building from the back for next season,he is unfortunately a weak link!

Nothing like Manadanda. He is not French with no spine, will not be happy to play for the reserves and will push himself to prove any critics wrong.

I agree Mandanda has been a huge disappointment. We all welcomed him and tried to make him feel at home, and yet he has shown no desire to play for us. If I were chairman I would have refused to pay the sulking t***

To be fair to Mandanda, he began playing badly when everyone else did too, under 'you know who's' mis-management. He never really had time to settle, and had to cope with an aweful defense which I think he just wasn't used to. Having bad players around you making bad decisions causes you to think too much and do things you wouldn't normally do. It takes your mind off your game. A bit like Kelly's header away from Hennessey instead of to him last week against Man City leading to a goal, because Kelly didn't trust him to read his play or take the pass. A lot of our players were sh1t in that period and so I think we need to give Mandanda more grace. He's better than he's been for us. Sam would of had him playing better but there was no time for that when Sam came in.

Steeeeeve has had ample time to win a place on the bench.
Sam has not selected him.
Looks to me that Steeeve will not play for The Palace again.

At least that signals the end of the stupid nickname

I must be the only one who thinks he's both extremely error prone + over rated. However, I was sceptical of Sakho and proved massively wrong and would happily eat humble pie again if we were to sign Hart. Genuinely think Begovic is a much better goalkeeper though, and presumably would cost less.

Would be over the moon with this. Think he is class. I actually think he looked better than Courtois when he covered for him.

The chairman of Torino went public earlier this week saying that he didn't think that Joe Hart would have made as many mistakes as he did when on loan with them

He made a ton of them at City as well, and a few for England. Don't get me wrong I'm not saying he wouldn't be an upgrade on hennessey as he undoubtedly would, I just think there are much better options out there than Joe Hart. There must be a reason that no one other than Torino took him on, he himself said in an interview that he didn't have clubs lining up for him.

Just seen him in an interview on soccer AM.
Said he will back in the prem next year, and not on a loan deal.
Really think we have a chance with him.
The top 6 all have good keepers.
Everton are going for Pickford,
West Ham are the only team I think might be interested.
Surely big Sam could tempt him.
What a signing he would be.
Add him and Sakho and we have a very solid looking back 5!
I think this summer it has to be about quality rather than quantity.
