Depends on the 'Chemistry' between De Boer and Lee.If they don't see eye to eye on certain matters this could prove problematic.

Koeman brought his own staff in when he joined Southampton, as did Pochettino at the same club and the same can be said of Klopp at Liverpool.Conte had Holland with him (No longer) but he also brought in his own people.

Koeman bought Sammy Lee in, the Dutch love him.

"Brighton are talking about how they're coming for us. And it's like, we've been waiting in the Premier League for you for ages." Wilfried Zaha, 2017.

Fantabulous. Look what he did to Townsend. As well as the impact he's had on our players we need him to bring the nouse and experience of the PL, lack of which knowledge is really the only weakness with de Boer's CV.

I also think we underestimate the contribution of the Performance Director, Ryland Morgans. It says on his LinkedIn page that he left Palace in June. Anyone know if he is staying on?

Most certainly not European.

And of course De Boer with his standing will help to attract players to the club.

Already being linked with Iheanacho.

We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football.

Think RB is the most important far and away. Then I think we need cover for ST because we have one fit recognised striker right now and that is shocking. CAM is important, but ultimately we have Cabaye who has reverted back to his much preferred forward position and looked great at the end of last season. As for goalkeeper can be sorted by Steve staying and impressing.

SL will let FDB know he is a lazy French lump with an attitude, that needs off loading as soon as.

You obviously know him better than the Palace management as that's not what SP said about him at the press conference today

I have a feeling that 'Sammy Lee' came to Southampton a month after Koeman was appointed manager.

Koeman's brother Erwin and Jan Kluitenberg joined Southampton with Koeman.

Might be wrong but I think Erwin was assistant manager with Kluitenberg 1st team coach, whereas Lee was 1st team assistant coach.

Unless I missed something, all SP said was that SM was "expected" to return for pre-season training. I have to say that's exactly what any diplomat would have said in the circumstances. Perhaps it would be politic to wait and see what actually happens and what the new manager makes of it all?

Re the SM saga, I'm sure that I'm not the only one totally unimpressed by his attitude and quite frankly his goal-keeping ability.
As a professional I think he has quite a bit to do, like showing some commitment to his employers.

He also said that "I know Steve a little bit. He’s a super guy" whereas Painter has insisted on a few occasions that he has an attitude

Club still show him as part of the management team & that's clearly been updated in the last 24 hours.
