Nail on the head here, although you wont see anyone paying £50m for Van Dijk, thats pure Daily mirror garbage. I believe the price being banded about for Keane is ludicrous, why buy players out of their overvalued English contracts when we can look for better value abroad. Personally think we should be looking at Sanchex, from Ajax, looked very impressive in the final and supposedly had a great season.

If not, £30M for Sakho, in this modern day isnt awful considering a season in the prem is worth so much - and he would certainly add guarantee to us remaining here.

Sanchez has just been linked with Barcelona. Their scouts must be spying on our board. Again.

yes we can...we dont need to replace players like campbell as hes s*** and we can just drop kai-kai into his sqaud place.

also for the amount of minutes we gave to ledley/lee/sako/remy we dint need to replace them just use kids if & when we need...also wickham & souare should hopefully be back this season.

i would consider it a very successful summer if we only signed big sakho for money this summer.

Without new investment no we can't.

We have just borrowed against next season's Premiership money.

As a club of this size we pulled out all the stops in January....I think we spent the most.

There is always that demographic who call for more spending. This club listened in the past and nearly went out of business twice.

I never want the existence of this club threatened again.

Guessing with ballpark percentages I reckon we dipped into about 25% of this season's transfer fees budget.

for the record i dont want us to spend above our station but i think if we did pay £20m for sakho that should be affordrd.

his wages would also be covered in people like campbell/mutch/lee/ledley leaving.

i do see it as affordable, we couldnt afford a lot more afterrards but we dont need anybody else

A fantastic Palace post. Start off with words like "guessing" and "ballpark" so nobody thinks you have a clue, and then reel off a meaningless statistic with absolutely no factual support. The only thing missing (although it is probably implied) is either an outlandishly optimistic (i.e. we should be qualifying for Europe) or pessimistic (i.e. we are going to be relegated next year) prediction.

I think that subject was discussed here [Link]

Unless you know something new?

I suspect we could afford him at £20m plus wages and have another £20 for other buisness but recon that's probably our limit. So depends if we think he's worth have our war chest.

I'd say yes.

Obviously all the above is per speculation on my part.

In reality I/we have no idea.
