How about having some RESPECT for our clubs manager?

Not too difficult is it.

Absolutely!

I rather suspect that any herbert referring to Sir Sam as BFS is either family or friend of AP

I think the answer as to whether BFS can change his style is more in his hands than anyone else. He has excelled at a particular style of play which has been focused around keeping teams up but following those successes he has not changed the style much andvthe clubs and the watching supporters have got fed up watching the same thing when it was no longer necessary to keep the teams up.
We will also probably get fed up with BFS style as well. The one chance he has is that we traditionally have liked attacking play and have had good attacking players at the club and if he is given attacking players he may develope into a better more versatile manager. Let us hope so.

Completely untrue as I've explained earlier. He was accused of boring tactics at West Ham. He was accused of this before he started and was never wanted there by their stuck-up fans.

With good players Alardyce teams play good football. His Bolton team were very good to watch in the years before he resigned.

I think he is a really good coach who chooses a system that will get the best out of the players he has.

Do you think his philosophy of starting with a sound defence is boring? I suspect, this transfer window, more money will be spent on defence than on forwards and that next year we may be a bit negative. However, if Alardyce stays beyond that, I think we can at least emulate his success at Bolton and enjoy some exciting football.

How many times has BFS taken over a clu in a little bother, get them safe, then after giving that club a mid-table mediocrity, moved him on? The question is, will Palace follow the same pattern.
The common chant from BFS previous clubs is he does not seem capable of taking a team any further forward in playing style, at least a style to better the team. Something often gives,,will it happen again and soon?

We need mid table mediocrity for a few years to get the ground sorted. We need the Premier dosh

I think Benteke is such a lonely figure up there waiting in case the ball should come into his half of the field.

Why not provide him with a packed lunch and book to read but not alcohol as we would like him to stay awake.

Unlike us watching 10 men behind the ball every week and calling it football.

I am indeed on the Saint Pourcain.

Colin was the monicker given to another of our more recent managers. It always makes me smile through gulps of vin..
