Thought we were close to FFP limits BEFORE January, a month in which we paid ~36m for PvA, Schlupp and Luka Mclongname? And not to mention a pretty penny on Sakho's wages. That said, the way SP is behaving -- seemingly offering Wilf 110 and being up front about trying to get Sakho -- hopefully I am wrong. Why hasn't the Cradvertiser cleared all this up with in depth, investigative journalism? (Lolz)

Sakho has to leave Liverpool but his advertised price is way too high for him. I don't think anyone will pay what we hear Liverpool want. I'm not sure how many clubs would actually be bidding for him.

Getting Sakho in is a no brainer, as many have said, there was a marked improvement in WH performances with him infront of him. The minute he was injured, WH turned invisible again.
Clinton is Clinton. I have known him for a long time, I know his mother... Simon Jordan |

Let's be honest if he never fell out with Klopp we wouldn't have a hope of getting him....this is a great chance to get a world class defender at palace! No 1 priority with Wilf signing also! theres not many defenders palace could have got that would have made Dann look average, Sakho is good enough imo for a title winning team. If we have the chance, go for it, may be the thing that changes our history and helps bring us to that next level...

Sakho signing on a perm deal and staying fit would bring least the same overall benefit to the side over a season than Benteke has this year. Just because he's a stopper, rather than a scorer, of goals doesn't diminish his value to our team. Once Wilf signs his deal, a deal for Sakho should be our top priority followed by - if needed - a quality replacement for Cabaye. Then we can worry about how to upgrade Ward and our 3rd choice striker slot with whatever's left in the kitty.

Sakho is a great player and, more importantly, a born leader (in the John Terry mould) We lack such a player so for 27 million we'd be getting, in effect, two players. Having said that it is a lot of money and the wages (and the injury insurance premiums) will be sky-high. Now, if we could off-load Puncheon at a decent price (before his current performances reduce his value) As for a GK, we missed a trick with Bergovic and Johnstone and an improvement on Hennessey won't be cheap.

Your right about begovic wanted him at Palace for a couple of seasons now. Even Tete I was excited by his potential arrival. Can't see puncheon being offload however.

Begovic could've been a wicked signing for us at only 10mil. Unfortunately we never looked interested, there have been a few good keepers available this summer but we only seem interested in the crap ones like Adrian.... New RWB, GK and backup Striker are more of a priority than Sakho in my book even though I'd love to see him back here. All affordable at 10mil each.
