I played cricket there a few times, and play regularly had to be suspended while the 'guests' took a stroll across the square. Campari Girls - after the advert 'anytime, any place, anywhere'. Dogs breath - not heard that for a while. Put downs 'fk off you ugly ct' - I think I must associate with a nicer class of lady nowadays or have somehow improved my looks. 'sweet' - generally a good thing of some sort. Probably never heard outside of the range of the Bow Bells.

The same as the expression it's bedlam in here meaning chaotic comes from the name of the bethlem hospital. Believe it was in Lambeth originally before moving to the site in monks orchard road

I believe that historically it started life just outside the old city walls at BIshopsgate (where Liverpool ST Station now stands), then at Moorfields and then to Southwark.
