Does anybody remember the crisps that used to come in a fairly small packet, they were basically a packet of broken tube type crisps/factory cast offs
we are talking late 60s-early 70s?
Besides corner shops our school would sell them at lunch hour.
I cannot remember their name.
Also in the same vein a tin of busted biscuits?
what were they called?

Kids, tired of being bothered by your pesky parents?
Then leave home, get a job & pay your own bills, while you still know everything.

These were a nightmare when they melted a bit. When you squeezed them to pop the ice to the gap you created by ripping the card, the juice used to shoot out all different angles, all over my Kappa t-shirt!!

Yes absolute pain in the ass. My mum put a box of them in the freezer last weekend for my children. Darling children had a mare with them one evening after School. Sticky remains of it on their clothes, sofa and floor.

Are they the ones in a greese proof bag with a little packet of salt you tipped in?

no.
you can still get those(with the little blue bag)
these were like a lot of busted small tubes.
you couldn't really pick them up but would just empty the packet into your gob

Just been talking about the crisps and food items at home. Husband remembers the tubes of broken crisps driving him nuts as he cannot remember the name of them.

Also says the jubbly lollies were known as wigwams.

A few More he remembers
Jaw breakers
Spangles (I remember these)
Happy shopper produce
Sparkles ice follies
Whambars
Highland toffee
Bazooka Joe's???

Football managers referring to players as
'the boy (insert surname)'

'left half'
'right half'

half cut

a gallon of 4 star
2 stroke mixture
half a hundredweight of coke

Dim as a NAAFI candle.

Bazooka Joe's were bubblegum as i recall. You sent off a few wrappers and could become a member of the bazooka joe club. It had a sort of tin tin spy story attached.

At any rate he was a 'nifty' little spy with two quick feet, but would often drift 'in' and out of difficult situations. I believe he was "M's' first signing as manager.
