Which other clubs have in that time come from the brink of bankruptcy to where we are now?

Southampton?

Under Parish, we have had 7 managers (Excluding interims) in 7 years.
Seemingly there hasn't been any real progress in terms of a new ground/development at 'Selhurst Park'.

I am just posing the question that IF Parish wasn't "One of us" but an outsider who bought into the club, would he still be receiving plaudits or would he be seen in a different light ?

This is NOT intended as any personal criticism of Steve who is 'Top-watt' clever and works diligently and tirelessly for the club, just posing a question to stimulate debate !

Think we'd be rightly chuffed with anyone who has delivered what SP has. Regardless of whether he was one of us or not. He's under promised and over delivered right across the board. Has only. Never tried his best and had open and honest communication with the fans.

Southampton?

Interestingly people thought it was mad for Southampton to sack Adkins who had taken them from 'League 1' to the PL and replace him with some unknown manager called Pochettino !

If the rumors are true about Sam then Parish must leave the club. Apparently it's because Delaney and Hennessey were given new contracts behind Sam's back. Similar to when Parish told Pulis is which players he could and couldn't sign regardless of price. His job isn't to manage the team, once an owner starts that they need to piss off. We've lost the only two real premier league managers we've ever had because of him.

That comes accross to me as a very silly statement but obviously I respect your opinion. Myself I regard Parish as having done a quite remarkable job.
I shall shut up now

Yet there might be some who look at this differently and moan about the number of managerial changes and the ground situation etc.

And are you a part of that 'some' Willo? Your audience awaits you.

For myself, all I know is we are still in the Premier League. Personally I don't care too much who the manager is, it's a bit like shopping in Sainsbury's. I buy the product not the shelf stacker.

It is true we have had 7 managers in a short space of time. However when there has been a change for whatever reason I believe SP and the board acted in what they consider to be the best interest of our club. Now if we go back an actually look at the reason why there was a managerial change I don't considered any were caused because of the board failure.

In all honesty all you really know is gleaned from the platitudes handed out to the media and the rubbish spouted by conspiracy theorists.

No-one really knows the real reasons why Freedman, Pulis and Allardyce couldn't wait to get out of here although many think that they do

The board seem to know something about football. Steve Parish works in the best interests of Crystal Palace, which is something not all of those posting appear to accept.

But all are allowed to an opinion however misplaced or cranky.

The reason why BS left? Because the football industry is full of overpaid prima donna tossers who don't give a sh1t about honoring contract terms or showing some integrity and professionalism. And in this business environment Steve Parish has to deal with these w@nkers day in day out and try and make some sense of it. Under these circumstances I think he's doing a pretty good job for us.

This.....people say we need to get a proven premiership manager in. But the 2 we've had (excluding pardew) got out as soon as they could. If mancini comes in and has s good season will he stay another year - I doubt it. I can understand why SP brought in SA, and it worked but if we want a manager who's going to stay a while, we need to look at someone who's not a 'proven premiership managet'

I doubt whether many will dispute the fact that Steve Parish works in what he thinks is the best interests of Crystal Palace but what is of concern to some is that his best efforts may just be counter productive as whenever he gets a decent manager he does something to make them want to leave and when they do they are invariably replaced with someone who doesn't cut the mustard and is expensive to get rid of.

Let's not forget that the club paid £3m to hire Pardew and probably a similar sum to get rid of him again
